Asus ROG Xbox Ally: When Will the Handheld PC Be Available?

HANDHELD NEWS – Until now, the release date of Asus’s handheld PC was unknown, but a reliable insider has revealed it to us.

The ROG Xbox Ally and the Xbox Ally X — two new handheld PCs born from the collaboration between Asus and Microsoft — are reportedly coming to store shelves on October 16. Billbil-kun of Dealabs reported this. He is considered a reliable source because he has correctly reported the release dates and retail prices of several devices in the past. Billbil-kun recently announced the prices of the two devices: the ROG Ally will cost €600, and the ROG Ally X will cost €900.

Billbil-kun also reported that preorders for the Asus ROG Ally and ROG Ally X will begin at Gamescom. This coincides with Microsoft’s announcement that gamers will be able to try the handheld PCs for the first time at the European event. The October release date aligns with previous rumors mentioned by eXtas1s and others. They had also named October as the release period for Asus hardware, but Billbil-kun was the first to name an exact release date.

According to Microsoft’s official statement, we will have the opportunity to try out the Asus ROG Ally and its larger counterpart, the Asus ROG Ally X, at Gamescom. Billbil-kun has made a name for himself by providing accurate information about the retail distribution of gaming products before official announcements. He has also revealed the final piece of the puzzle: pre-orders will start at Gamescom, and the price and release date have been announced.

These two devices will lead Microsoft’s plan. Microsoft may not want to develop its own hardware in the future but may license the Xbox brand to other companies. We’ve also heard that Microsoft canceled its own handheld project.
