Battlefield 6 Players Alarmed: Mysterious Bug Kills You in the Blink of an Eye!

If you’ve been dying in Battlefield 6 far faster than you expected, you’re not imagining things – the issue is more widespread than it appears. Florian Le Bihan, one of the shooter’s lead designers, is now asking for player videos to uncover the cause behind these strange, lightning-fast deaths.

The first Battlefield 6 Open Beta has wrapped up with record-breaking participation, but EA’s teams are already hard at work reviewing feedback and fixing issues before the second test kicks off on August 14. Among the findings, Battlefield Studios has identified a troubling problem where players die “unexpectedly fast” – not due to slow reflexes or poor skill – prompting developers to request video evidence of such suspicious incidents. This bug has already affected a significant number of players.

Battlefield 6 designer Florian Le Bihan posted on X, calling for “video examples of unexpectedly fast bullets/TTD [Time to Death] that you have recorded in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta.” It seems the issue manifests in multiple ways, as the clips shared on social media depict a variety of unusual in-game situations.

Battlefield 6 Player Experiences

User Mokonoise highlighted two incidents in which Battlefield 6 appeared to register damage oddly: “In the first one, I was knocked out instantly and [the system] said I got hit 5 times, but all I saw was my body falling without any visible damage”; in the second, “there was a delay in damage – I got shot, I was at full health, and a couple of seconds later I suddenly took the hit and couldn’t heal beyond 50%.”

Other players have reported “a bug where, upon respawning, you instantly take damage and are left with 10 health” (_GenPatton_), as well as “bullets that don’t register” (pzyyclone74431). It’s no surprise that Battlefield 6 shows these kinds of issues at this stage, as players have only been testing a beta version. Still, with the full release coming on October 10, fans hope Battlefield Studios will have these problems ironed out in time.
