Konami has confirmed that the fate of additional remakes depends entirely on the commercial performance of Delta Snake Eater. In an interview with Games Informer, producers Noriaki Okamura and Yuji Korekado stressed their current focus: bringing Delta “to the current generation in the best way possible.” Once the game is released, if fans show interest in more, Konami is willing to consider “many other games” from the catalog.

This perspective echoes Konami’s approach with other franchises. Following strong sales, the company greenlit a remake of the first Silent Hill, a move that parallels Metal Gear’s situation. “We’re always thinking about what we could do with the Metal Gear series, but as far as future remakes are concerned, we’re focused on the present—on how best to engage longtime fans and attract new ones.” – the Japanese producer explained (via The Gamer).

Once it’s released, if players want more after playing it, we’d consider many other games in the future.
