Battlefield 6: Ensuring to Make Sure It Runs Smoothly Even on Weaker PCs!

DICE hasn’t neglected players with PCs that barely meet the minimum system requirements. They ensured that these players could also enjoy the new Battlefield.

Most PC players participating in the Battlefield 6 open beta test had systems that met or fell below the minimum requirements, but the developers made sure all players could enjoy the open beta regardless of their configuration. In an interview with Eurogamer, Technical Director Christian Buhl confirmed that many of the millions of players participating in the Battlefield 6 open beta either met or fell short of the minimum system requirements.

The developers made great efforts to ensure the open beta and game could be played on a wide range of configurations and that the performance of the tracks would achieve certain performance goals, regardless of the hardware. Buhl added that the minimum system requirements are extremely important from both a commercial and business perspective because they want as many people as possible to play the game. Let’s take a look at the system requirements:

  • 64-bit operating system and processor required

In light of rising living costs and the increasing expense of PC hardware, it’s good news that Battlefield 6 runs well on lower-end hardware. However, it remains to be seen whether the rest of the game will perform as well as the open beta. Some players will have the opportunity to try it out before the game’s release in just over a month. Battlefield Labs is preparing for another round of testing to evaluate changes to the game based on beta feedback, new maps (e.g., Operation Firestorm), and server browsing.

Battlefield 6 is set to release on October 10 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
