Injustice 3: The Voice Actors of Two Characters Have Confirmed NetherRealm’s Next Game?

Similar to the leak of Edward Kenway’s voice in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, a possible leak may have surfaced at Warner instead.

DC fans will recognize Phil LaMarr and George Newbern, the iconic voices of Green Lantern and Superman. Both actors have not only lent their voices to the heroes in various animated series and films but have also portrayed members of the Justice League in NetherRealm’s Injustice games. It now appears that both confirmed to fans they met at conventions that WB Games and NetherRealm are indeed working on Injustice 3.

Of course, the idea that Injustice 3 exists is hardly a secret. Beyond the information leaked through data mining, we already know NetherRealm has spoken with DC franchise leaders James Gunn and Peter Safran at WB about a DC project. There’s also the established pattern of NetherRealm alternating between Mortal Kombat and Injustice under Warner Bros., and the studio is no longer developing new content for Mortal Kombat 1. Assuming the actors’ convention comments are accurate, LaMarr and Newbern aren’t exactly spilling classified information. Online posts from fans who met them claim that both separately confirmed Injustice 3 is in development.

In a now-deleted tweet, Brendan Borrow wrote about finally meeting his favorite Superman voice actor, George Newbern. He shared a photo with Newbern, likely taken at Toronto’s FanExpo last weekend. Borrow told him that he was the perfect Superman voice and praised his work on MultiVersus, to which Newbern replied that he was currently working on Injustice 3. Meanwhile, @DannySoul0 claimed LaMarr made a similar comment while autographing a copy of Injustice 2.

The possibility of Injustice 3 finally becoming a reality, nearly a decade after Injustice 2’s release, is exciting for fans of the series.
