Path of Exile 2: Pro Players Try to Defeat a Shark with Trillions of HP [VIDEO]

Even if the numbers are inflated, it’s still an astonishingly large amount of hit points.

A few days ago, XTheFarmerX, a YouTuber and streamer focused on Path of Exile 2, came up with an incredible event idea: gather the world’s strongest players and pit them against sharks equipped with the deadliest modifiers. The core of Path of Exile 2’s endgame lies in running maps and defeating bosses, each enhanced by additional difficulty modifiers that increase potential rewards. Some of these modifiers are brutal, such as bonus health for all enemies or complete immunity to certain elemental damage types.

The system allows players to choose modifiers their builds can handle — but that also means creating maps so cruel that even top-tier players can’t survive. This is the idea behind XTheFarmerX’s Boss Bash Bonanza, where the sole objective is to defeat a shark boss with trillions of HP and devastating damage. Its tail swipe can one-shot any player regardless of their stats. This special shark boss appears in the campaign, recently added in an update by Grinding Gear Games. Occasionally, it dives underground and reemerges to ambush players. For most mid-tier characters, it’s usually a quick fight — in either direction.

XTheFarmerX, who cosplays as a shark with blue face paint and costume, invites players to join a team and spectates their fight against the behemoth. Only the strongest builds can deal meaningful damage. Most participants spam spells while trying to keep their distance, but a single hit usually means instant death. Successful runs have been achieved only by players fast enough to stay out of reach of the shark’s deadly tail.

So far, only a few victors have managed to fry the beast with lightning strikes. One player brought a massive dinosaur minion to the ultimate kaiju showdown, but even then, the shark’s HP bar didn’t drop below half before the end. Five hours into the stream, just six players had defeated the monster and earned the coveted loot, while the shark had devoured over a hundred Exiles — and still wasn’t full.
