JDM: Japanese Drift Master – Japanese Drifting, Coming Soon to Consoles! [VIDEO]

Gaming Factory will soon end the game’s PC exclusivity, as JDM: Japanese Drift Master is finally heading to consoles. Discover the birthplace of drift and dive deep into Japan’s legendary car culture! This simcade-style racer combines finely tuned, realistic driving physics with accessibility, offering a smooth experience whether you’re using a controller or high-end sim racing hardware. Take on hundreds of kilometers of open-world roads filled with story-driven events and challenges. Sharpen your drifting technique, push your limits, and feel the rush of authentic Japanese street racing where it all began.

Set in the fictional Guntama Prefecture, inspired by Japan’s Honshu region, the game offers over 250 kilometers of beautifully rendered roads. Dynamic weather, traffic, and a full day-night cycle bring the environment to life as you tackle twisting mountain passes or drift through bustling city streets. No JDM experience would be complete without a tuning garage — here, players can personalize their rides with true Japanese flair. Visit the workshop to unlock the full potential of your purchased vehicles and choose from officially licensed brands such as Mazda, Nissan, and Subaru.

Whether you prefer a controller, a steering wheel, or a keyboard, JDM’s realistic yet accessible physics make drifting intuitive and satisfying. Master your skills and dominate various events and side quests, including drift battles, drag races, and time trials. You’ll step into the shoes of a foreign driver determined to conquer Japan’s elite drifting scene. Take part in more than 40 narrative-driven events and numerous side stories against the region’s best drifters. The campaign is presented through hand-drawn manga panels, giving the story a distinct, artistic flavor that perfectly fits the game’s atmosphere.

The attention to detail extends to the sound design: every engine roar and tire screech is captured from real vehicles, making every drift feel authentic. Cruise through scenic routes while listening to genre-inspired radio stations and pick the perfect soundtrack for your drive. JDM: Japanese Drift Master is not just a racing game — it’s a love letter to Japanese automotive culture and the art of drift itself.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master launched on PC on May 21, 2025. The Xbox Series version arrives on November 21, while the PlayStation 5 edition is set to release in the first quarter of 2026.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
