Dinoblade: A Souls Clone Featuring Dinosaurs; Coming Out in Just a Few Days! [VIDEO]

Team Spino’s game is set to be released soon, and it has certainly managed to stand out so far—but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Dinoblade is an intense action RPG set in a prehistoric world forever changed by a cataclysmic event that redefined the nature of dinosaurs. Play as a young Spinosaurus and wield a colossal Great Sword forged from ancient power. Confront rival dinosaurs, some of whom are armed with brutal weapons, in a desperate fight to prevent extinction. Venture across a sprawling world filled with awe-inspiring biomes, ranging from dry canyons to dense, mist-shrouded jungles. Each region is ruled by a ferocious Alpha, an apex predator who guards the path forward. Defeat them, or be devoured.

Every victory unlocks newfound strength. Master new skills, unleash devastating abilities, and forge your own combat style. Chain together powerful combos, time your dodges, rolls, and parries, and discover legendary weapons hidden across the lands. At the heart of this savage world lies a mystery that could either save or doom your species forever. Rise as a legend, conquer the wilds, and decide the fate of your home. Become the blade, rewrite history, and save your world from extinction. Defeat the final boss to unlock the ultimate Boss Rush Mode.

Dinoblade‘s latest video is a compilation of the coolest things we dreamed about as dinosaur-obsessed kids, before society taught us to be ashamed of our imagination. Here, there are T. rexes with battle axes and halberds, as well as T. rexes that bite ankylosaurs and use them as weapons. The Spinosaurus character showcases combat animations so wild that no one has ever managed to extract them from a Spinosaurus animation rig before.

Unfortunately, the dinosaurs didn’t know about i-frames. That could change, though, and we’re clearly not the only ones eagerly awaiting to see how this plays out. Earlier this month, Team Spino announced that Dinoblade has appeared on over 500,000 Steam wishlists. Dinoblade will be released on Steam on July 23, but a demo is already available if you can’t wait that long.
