The D&D CRPG You Can Play For Free Today – Solasta II Drops A New Trailer And Reconfirms 2026 Early Access

The owners of Expedition 33 are backing another Dungeons & Dragons–rooted RPG you can try right now: Solasta II, developed by Tactical Adventures and published by Kepler Interactive, has unveiled fresh gameplay and locked in an Early Access launch for early 2026 — with a free Steam demo live today.

The name may not instantly click, but Solasta: Crown of the Magister (2021) kick-started a notable turn-based saga grounded in D&D rules. Players embraced it — 88% positive on Steam — making a sequel inevitable. Under Tactical Adventures and publisher Kepler Interactive (holders of the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 IP), Solasta II aims higher, targeting Early Access on Steam in early 2026.

This isn’t just noise: during the Twitch Galaxies Showcase, the team showed substantial gameplay, underscoring a living world where faith, history, and player agency intertwine to shape Neokos. Between storm-lashed ruins, sun-drenched temples, and teetering civilizations, Solasta II is pitching a journey rich in story and exploration.

“We set out to craft a world that’s stunning yet tangible — where every encounter feeds a deeper story and every detail threads into an intricate narrative web,” notes director Xavier Penin. Creative director Mathieu Girard adds, “This installment expands Solasta’s vision beyond the board, betting on active community collaboration throughout Early Access.”

Bigger, Deeper, Freer – And The Demo Is Live On Steam

Building on Crown of the Magister, Solasta II marries tabletop-faithful tactical depth with greater narrative freedom. Expect more intricate systems, stiffer challenges, and full adoption of the Dungeons & Dragons 2024 ruleset — positioning this sequel among today’s most ambitious CRPGs. With real-time combat and world-shaping moral choices, it’s staking a claim as one of the genre’s most comprehensive experiences.

Launching on PC, you can play the free Steam demo now if your interest is piqued. Backed by Kepler Interactive (behind titles like Sifu and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33), Solasta II is shaping up to be a 2026 highlight for fans of tactical RPGs and rich fantasy storytelling.
