A One-In-A-Thousand Feat For Solo Players – World of Warcraft: Midnight: Brings Back The War Within’s Toughest Ideas

World of Warcraft: Midnight: Midnight adds a new solo-focused achievement that only 1,000 players can claim. Blizzard hasn’t forgotten one of The War Within’s standout innovations and is doubling down with even fiercer tests.

Every World of Warcraft expansion looks for fresh ways to surprise players with one-off challenges — not all of which return later. The Breach Depths, introduced in The War Within, is bucking that trend: Midnight (version 12.0) brings it back with tougher trials aimed at top-tier players. And what better proof than a stack of new achievements? Some will be so restricted that many won’t ever unlock them.

Blizzard has announced four new Breach Depths achievements arriving with Midnight, earned by defeating a special boss — but only if you’re fast. The Legendary achievement Leave It to Me: Nullaeus will be available to just the first 1,000 players who beat this foe solo. For relief, unlike Hall of Fame feats, this one is region-specific, so time zones won’t skew things — yet it will still be brutally hard to grab.

Claiming the kill also grants a unique title: “The Legendary Vanquisher of Nullaeus.” As for the other three trophies, the requirement is the same: solo only — pure personal mastery, build craft, and execution.

Breach Depths Returns: Stricter Solo Trials, Bigger Bragging Rights

In recent months, Blizzard has iterated on the Depths with outdoor-style layouts that let you use mounts for faster traversal. Meanwhile, Midnight — the second act of the Worldsoul Saga — promises an epic, darker narrative where Azeroth’s forces unite against a greater evil.

Expect brand-new zones alongside familiar-but-remade locations, plus a long-requested feature: player housing in WoW with extensive decoration freedom. Midnight clearly targets both community play and hardcore soloists — the latter with limited-availability prestige goals.
