Is this another AAA game or a slightly cheeky move from the gaming industry? Or is Microsoft continuing to push what we’ve seen for years?
According to Forbes, this year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is now up for pre-order. A basic Cross-Gen Edition is available on both Sony and Microsoft consoles for $70. Beyond the base game, it includes the Reznov Challenge Pack, the Guild Override Weapon Camo, one season of BlackCell, an Operator and Mastercraft weapon collection, the Ultra GobbleGum Pack in Zombies mode, and a Permanent Unlock Token. So far, so good.
There’s also a pricier Vault Edition at $100. It contains everything in the base edition plus premium extras, including exclusive Zombies Mastercrafts and earlier access to BlackCell. Most notably, it grants 72-hour early access—meaning you can start playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on November 11 thanks to the three-day head start. We’ve seen this countless times with other games—and we keep rolling our eyes every time.
Those planning to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 via Xbox Game Pass will get access to the base edition. Upgrading to the Vault Edition requires an additional purchase. All pre-order bonuses can be activated by logging into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 or Call of Duty: Warzone until November 14, 2026. Pre-order incentives aren’t shocking—it’s standard practice across major releases.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is scheduled to launch on November 14 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One—or on November 11 if you spring for the Vault Edition. And plenty of players surely will…
