Judging by its latest officially announced results, Embark Studios’ game doesn’t seem to be losing momentum anytime soon.
Arc Raiders continues to propel Embark Studios to new heights. The company confirmed on Twitter that Arc Raiders exceeded 700,000 concurrent players last weekend across all available platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Thanks to SteamDB, we can see the number of concurrent players for any game to gauge its popularity, and to a lesser extent, its sales. However, neither PlayStation nor Xbox share player numbers in the same way, so the number of console players remains largely a mystery.

While we don’t know exactly how many players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series played Arc Raiders over the weekend, the game’s SteamDB page shows that most of the 700,000 players came from PC and recently reached a new peak of 462,488 players on Steam. This is another milestone for the game, which has reportedly sold over 2.5 million copies (mostly on Steam) and has consistently maintained over 100,000 concurrent players on Valve’s digital platform since its release on October 30.
Now that the game has gotten off to a strong start, the question is whether Embark Studios can maintain that momentum for a strong month, a strong first year, and beyond. Arc Raiders is currently in the gaming industry’s spotlight, but that won’t mean much if the game is no longer available in a few years. However, it doesn’t seem like the game will suddenly disappear anytime soon. Embark Studios has already proven that it knows how to create and maintain a popular multiplayer game with The Finals, and Arc Raiders has been even more successful.
Whatever happens, it will be interesting to see how Arc Raiders continues to evolve. Embark has revealed its content expansion plans until the end of 2025, but 2026 remains shrouded in mystery.
