Grand Theft Auto VI: It Even Got Discussed in the Polish Parliament! [VIDEO]

It’s unbelievable, but Rockstar and Take-Two’s game has attracted so much attention that it was mentioned in a speech in the Polish parliament.

Despite not being released for at least another year, Grand Theft Auto VI is already having a huge impact on the gaming industry. Due to yet another change in the release date, the developers have modified their release schedule once again to avoid the collapse caused by the cultural mass that warps space and time. With the latest release of Grand Theft Auto VI postponed to November 19, 2026, however, the impact has gone beyond the gaming industry and even reached the Polish parliament.

In a video that went viral on social media, Polish politician Witold Tumanowicz, a member of the Confederation Liberty and Independence coalition and the National Movement party, addressed the issue from the podium. The National Movement is a radical right-wing party that opposes the EU, is skeptical about climate change, and is known for calling homosexuality a disease. However, Tumanowicz took a break from this rhetoric to tell a few jokes about the game.

“Madam Speaker, honorable members, as part of my parliamentary statement, I wanted to inform you about a very disturbing matter. An hour ago, Rockstar Games announced that the release of Grand Theft Auto VI will be postponed until next year. This is a huge scandal. Frankly, if people don’t take to the streets after something like this, I don’t know what will happen,” he said.

Setting aside the fact that the release of Grand Theft Auto VI was delayed until next year (it was originally scheduled for May, but has now been moved to November),… Tumanowicz was probably joking, but suggesting that people protest because of a game delay does not seem like a responsible thing for a politician to do. As if that weren’t surreal enough, Paweł Szrot, a member of the right-wing Law and Justice Party, responded by saying that he respects such statements.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
