Falcom Is Working on Several New Games, Including New Trails and Ys Titles!

The company’s annual investor presentation revealed a lot of information about games planned for the near and medium term.

 

The following games have already been released: The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon (PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4); Ys Memories: Revelations in Celceta (Nintendo Switch), Ys X: Proud Nordics (Switch 2), Ys VII: Lacrimosa of Dana / Ys IX: Monstrum Nox (PlayStation 5); The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV (PlayStation 5); The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie (PlayStation 5); Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter (PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC); and Zemuria Grand Odyssey 19999–XXXXX (music).

The Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Original Soundtrack is scheduled for release this year. Ys X: Proud Nordics will be released in February, and Falcom 3 Acoustics 3 will arrive in March. There is also an unannounced port, a new game, and Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter (PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC). Falcom has only stated that these will be released sometime in 2026.

Looking at the midterm plans, Project G turned out to be Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana (Switch), which launched in May. Between June and August, the following titles received PlayStation 5 ports: Ys VII: Lacrimosa of Dana, Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV, and The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie. Ys X: Proud Nordics (Switch 2) launched in July. Title B was revealed to be Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter (PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC), released in September.

Ys X: Proud Nordics (PlayStation 5) is coming in February, and from that point onward the release timing of several projects is unknown. These include an unannounced port, another port planned for Nintendo Switch 2, Project C (a new Tokyo Xanadu installment), Project D (an unannounced game), Project H (a new Trails series entry), and Project I (the next Ys installment). Target platforms have not been disclosed.

Some of the titles on the list were unannounced a year ago. Falcom added that while it currently releases one new game per year, the goal is to release two new titles per year within three years.
