PS Plus Goes Big: Nine January Games Land in Extra and Premium

It is a strong month for PS Plus: PlayStation has revealed the nine “free” games coming in January 2026 for Extra and Premium members. Players will be able to jump into major releases like Resident Evil Village and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

January is already nearing its midpoint, which means PlayStation is preparing the next PS Plus refresh for the Extra and Premium tiers. The monthly lineup has now been confirmed, and players were quick to cheer, as Sony is adding nine titles to the subscription service, including several highly regarded games. The best news is that everything announced today will be playable on both PS4 and PS5 in just a few days.

More specifically, details shared via the official PlayStation Blog state that the selection will go live for subscribers on January 20, 2026. That leaves only a short wait before users can access award-winning hits such as Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Resident Evil Village. The timing is especially fitting for the latter, arriving right ahead of Resident Evil 9: Requiem, which is scheduled to launch on February 27, 2026.

New in PS Plus Extra in January 2026:

  • Resident Evil Village | PS5, PS4
  • Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth | PS5, PS4
  • Expeditions: A MudRunner Game | PS5, PS4
  • A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead | PS5
  • Darkest Dungeon II | PS5, PS4
  • The Exit 8 | PS5, PS4
  • Art of Rally | PS5, PS4
  • A Little to the Left | PS5, PS4

New in PS Plus Premium in January 2026:

  • Ridge Racer | PS5, PS4

The PS Plus Essential games for January 2026 are already available.

We would also like to remind you that PS Plus subscribers have already received a smaller, three-game drop as part of the January 2026 update. It is a solid pick for fans of fantasy, racing, and survival, as Sony expanded the service with Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, NFS Unbound, and Core Keeper. Those titles will remain available through February 2, 2026.
