Konami Is Preparing a Silent Hill Broadcast!

There will be several events this week, so Sony and State of Play won’t be the only ones in the spotlight.

On February 12, Sony and PlayStation will host their first State of Play event of 2026 at 2 p.m. PT. However, it won’t be the only showcase event of the evening. Konami has announced that it will host a Silent Hill Transmission event that same night to showcase its future plans for the Silent Hill franchise, including Silent Hill: Townfall. The event will begin approximately one hour after State of Play ends. Konami has only highlighted Silent Hill: Townfall on social media, but the show will feature the latest news on the Silent Hill series. It will air at 4 p.m. PT on February 12.

The release date for Silent Hill: Townfall is still unknown. Neither Konami nor Annapurna Interactive, which is developing the game in collaboration with Konami, has announced a release date. However, the March 26 date listed on a retail list released in November is certain. This may be the release date or it may be a placeholder. After all, we know that Silent Hill: Townfall has been in development for years and survived Annapurna‘s massive reorganization. Therefore, the March release date does not seem so unlikely.

Konami has confirmed plans to release a new Silent Hill game every year. Following the release of Silent Hill 2 Remake by Bloober Team in 2024 and Silent Hill f last year, the company plans to continue this strategy. Both games were huge commercial successes. In addition to Silent Hill: Townfall, Bloober Team may release a remake of the original Silent Hill game. However, since it is rumored to be released in 2027, it may still be too early.

With State of Play, the DICE Awards, and now this event, February 12 is shaping up to be a busy night for the gaming industry.
