Cortopia and Beyond Frames Entertainment are bringing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into virtual reality with a first-person action-adventure that can be played solo or with up to three friends.
A brotherhood in the shadows. A city on the brink. In the vacuum left by Shredder’s demise, the Foot Clan is tightening its grip on the streets you once called home. In the first-ever Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first-person action-adventure VR game, players will forge their own chapter either alone or in cooperative play with up to three friends. Strap on the bandana and step directly into the shell of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, or Michelangelo as you move through sewers, streets, and rooftops in a game built to put you inside the action.
Shredder is dead, and that has sparked a war for the empty throne he left behind. With the Foot Clan taking advantage of the chaos, the city is slipping further out of the Turtles’ hands, which means it is time to take it back. Players will sharpen their skills with each brother’s signature weapon, slash, swing, and stab through combat encounters, land precision strikes, block crushing counterattacks, and evade lethal blows. New gear can be picked up from Donnie’s workbench, while gadgets and upgrades allow players to fine-tune their loadout.
The game promises to let players create their own chapter in the wider Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles legacy, whether playing alone or in four-player co-op. Cortopia and Beyond Frames also highlight fluid parkour across the urban landscape, confrontations with fan-favorite villains, and a more immersive take on the heroes in a half shell than the franchise has attempted before. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City launches on April 30 for SteamVR and Meta Quest.
