Saints Row 2: Modders Have Brought The Console-Exclusive DLCs To PC! [VIDEO]

While we wait for Grand Theft Auto VI, we can revisit the game from Volition, which has since shut down.

Three DLCs were released for Saints Row 2 in 2009. The first two, Ultor Exposed and Corporate Warfare, featured a series of missions to defeat Ultor, the evil corporation common to both Saints Row and Volition’s other series, Red Faction. They also added more vehicles, outfits, and hairstyles, as well as an NPC voiced by porn star Tera Patrick. The third DLC, the Unkut Pack, added over 60 extra customization options. However, these were only released for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. If you bought them on the Xbox 360, you had to pay for them with Microsoft Points. PC players were out of luck; they had a more limited version of the game and didn’t have access to the Balding Mullet hairstyle… until now.

The modding team behind the Juiced Patch, which fixes many of the port’s issues, has compiled all of the DLC’s single-player components into a single mod. The DLC included a few multiplayer maps and other content. The modder says this content may be released later, but the current focus is on single-player content. The new missions can also be played in co-op mode. Additionally, the modded version fixes bugs found in the original DLC. These include the immediate acquisition of achievement-based unlocks and previously unnoticed vehicle-related issues.

To install the Saints Row 2 DLC mod, you’ll need a clean save and Juiced Patch version 9.0.0 or higher. While simpler mods, such as those that modify radio stations, appear to work without issue, more comprehensive modifications, like Gentlemen of the Row, are unfortunately not compatible. Older versions of the Juiced Patch are also not compatible. Next, download the PC DLC and extract the DLC folder into the main Saints Row 2 folder. Then, you’re ready to head to Stilwater!
