[SOP 2026] Control Resonant: Dylan Faden Arrives Amid Great Turmoil! [VIDEO]

Remedy Entertainment has set the release date for the Control sequel, and it lands in a very crowded period.

The story trailer follows Dylan Faden, played by Sean Durrie, as the Federal Bureau of Control, or FBC, sends him into the heart of a supernatural crisis. Alongside the Hiss and the Mold, a new otherworldly form of resonance is warping the city, while a mysterious cosmic force reshapes reality itself. Dylan is joined on this mission by a new FBC ally, Zoe de Vera, along with returning fan favorites Simon Arish and Emily Pope from the original Control. With his sister, the missing FBC Director Jesse Faden, gone, Dylan must take on a role he was never prepared for: becoming humanity’s last line of defense.

As part of Remedy’s effort to make Control Resonant available worldwide, the game will be the studio’s most extensively localized title to date. Control Resonant will feature full audio, interface, and subtitles in English, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish. Additional interface and subtitle support will be available in Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish for Latin America, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Ukrainian. Control Resonant will also launch with GeForce Now support. The Mac version through Steam and the App Store will follow later this year.

“As the protagonist navigates a distorted Manhattan shaped by paranormal forces and shifting realities, the story explores themes of identity, power, and sacrifice. Once a test subject of the FBC, Dylan must now harness his evolving abilities, confront his past, and learn to trust others in a world he was never meant to be part of. In doing so, he must rediscover his humanity and decide what he’s willing to lose to save what remains,” wrote Control Resonant creative director Mikael Kasurinen in the press release.

“Control Resonant is Remedy Entertainment’s most expansive game yet. It features incredible gameplay, narrative twists, and challenging creativity that will engage and entertain old and new fans alike like nothing we have created before. Since Remedy is self-publishing Control Resonant, our global marketing efforts will be equally ambitious in their execution and style. This inclusion in the State of Play is one example of that ambition, and it will lead us into Summer Game Fest and beyond. We will have a number of events and opportunities for fans over the summer as we move toward the game’s release on September 24,” said Johannes Paloheimo, Remedy Entertainment’s chief commercial officer and head of publishing.

The standard physical edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will cost €60, while the SteelBook Edition will cost €70. It includes a steelbook case, a poster, and three art prints. Digitally, the standard edition will cost €60, while the Digital Deluxe Edition will cost €70. In addition to the game, that bundle includes an AWE mission outfit for Dylan, an exclusive untapped artifact, a wallet, a starter resource pack, a digital comic, and the soundtrack. The PlayStation 5 version costs the same, but also includes two days of early access for the extra price.

Control Resonant launches on September 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. September is already shaping up to be packed with major releases.
