Jagex has never brought the RuneScape franchise to consoles before, but this new project finally changes that!

RuneScape: Dragonwilds is currently available in Early Access on Steam, where it has already sold more than one million copies and continues to gain momentum as one of Jagex’s fastest-growing new games, as well as a major new chapter in the future of the RuneScape series. RuneScape: Dragonwilds marks the console debut of Jagex’s iconic medieval fantasy brand. Completely separate from the beloved RuneScape MMORPG, Dragonwilds sees players forming teams to explore the varied and wondrous regions of Ashenfall, complete grand quests, level skills, slay dragons, and survive through sorcery. The RuneScape MMORPG, meanwhile, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds will launch for PlayStation 5 sometime this year. It has been available in Early Access on PC since April 15, 2025. It will be available free to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.
