Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Night: The Switch 2 Port Slips Into the Chaos! [VIDEO]

The game from TT Games and Warner Bros. Games is launching during a packed period, with plenty of other titles arriving around the same time.

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a brand-new open-world action-adventure game that invites players to join Bruce Wayne on his epic journey to become Gotham City’s hero. Inspired by decades of Batman films, television series, comic books, and games, it is packed with Batman nostalgia, DC stories, and TT Games’ signature playful Lego humor. The adventure begins with Batman’s origin, as young Bruce Wayne trains with the League of Shadows, and throughout the story-driven campaign, players build a family of allies including familiar characters such as Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul, helping them face the growing threat posed by DC villains.

The dynamic new Lego Batman combat system blends the Caped Crusader’s distinctive fighting style, giving every hit real impact through fluid attack chains, counters, and exaggerated takedowns. Whether playing alone as Batman or in two-player local co-op, players can use iconic gadgets such as Batarangs to distract or stun enemies, along with the Batclaw to pull them in. Partner characters have their own signature equipment, including Jim Gordon’s foam sprayer, Robin’s line launcher, and Catwoman’s whip, offering many different options for every enemy encounter and boss fight. The game goes beyond the familiar Lego experience with a new, tougher Caped Crusader difficulty level and an even more demanding Dark Knight difficulty.

The game is set in Gotham City, an open-world Lego playground where crimes must be stopped, puzzles solved, rewards collected, and surprises discovered around every corner, alley, and rooftop. Players can grapple, glide, or drive through the environment, swing from building to building with Batman’s grapple launcher, soar above the city with the Batglider, or cruise in style with various Batmobiles and Batcycles. The Batcave can also be customized to display vehicles, trophies, collectibles, and a collection of wearable Batsuits based on previous Batman media.

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight already launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC on May 22, although it was originally supposed to arrive slightly later. Until now, we did not know when the Switch 2 port would arrive, but it can now be revealed that it is coming on September 18. Around the same period, The Blood of Dawnwalker arrives on September 3, Marvel’s Wolverine on September 15, Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War IV on September 17, the PlayStation 5/Xbox Series port of Dune: Awakening on September 22, Control Resonant on September 24, Silent Hill: Townfall also on September 24, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword on September 25. A bold move.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
