Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse: Bloody Tears [VIDEO]

Evil Empire, Motion Twin, and Konami appear to be making a worthy return to the classic Castlevania franchise.

In medieval Paris, tolling bells signal the end. In 1499, the city is engulfed in flames and monstrous creatures emerge from the shadows. Armed with the legendary holy whip, the Vampire Killer, Trevor Belmont’s heir ventures into the burning streets and looming castle to hunt down the beasts. Can he save the city from destruction?

The iconic whip is now more important than ever! Crack your whip to move around freely like a trapeze artist. Master the whip’s mechanics, get creative, and pounce on your prey in fast-paced combat! The whip is not the only tool at your disposal. You must plan your next move strategically and make full use of all the weapons and abilities to stand a chance! Biomes are packed with secrets, traps, and puzzles. It’s not just about muscles; it’s about brains, too!

Building on the classic Gothic style of the series, the unique, colorful art style lets you experience the world of Castlevania like never before. True to the series’ roots, you will encounter colorful characters and powerful foes, stumble upon secret chambers, dig up hidden items, and fight your way through challenging areas.

Hopefully, the release date won’t hurt the game because, even though it avoided the crazy September rush, October doesn’t look any easier. However, that’s exactly what the Japanese publisher has marked on its calendar: Konami will release Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse on October 19 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch 2 is missing from this list. I wonder why there isn’t a native port for it. Or will this be another one of those “ports that show up unexpectedly later on” that we see so often?
