As expected, a major release on a Sony console comes with a themed controller for that particular game.
The DualSense Wireless Controller — Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition — captures the energy of Vice City’s iconic nightlife. It will be available in limited quantities exclusively through PlayStation Direct, and in other regions through select retailers. The DualSense Wireless Controller — Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition — embodies Vice City at daybreak, from its white sands and pastel skies to its laid-back glamour. This controller will be available in limited quantities globally at PlayStation Direct and at participating retailers.
We can safely say that they’ll cost 85 euros, which is in line with what we’ve come to expect in terms of DualSense pricing. It wouldn’t be surprising if these controllers sold out in about two seconds simply because they’re modeled after Rockstar and Take-Two’s game styles. But, honestly, these controllers barely look like they were made for Grand Theft Auto VI. Okay, there’s the “VI” on the touchpad, a palm tree on the right side, and two analog sticks. The controllers also have a bluish tint on the inside of the sides, and the buttons aren’t colored the way we’ve gotten used to over the last three decades. But that’s about it. We could have expected something bolder. Oh well, the fans will snap these up anyway.
Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release on November 19 for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Rockstar and Take-Two haven’t announced a PC version yet. Based on what we’ve seen so far, we might see a PC port in early 2028. By then, fans will be able to buy it a third time for next-gen consoles, such as the PlayStation 6 and Xbox Project Helix. A Nintendo Switch 2 port? No way.
