Rebel Wolves Is Already Hiring to Work on the Sequel to The Blood of Dawnwalker!

The Polish team isn’t taking much of a break since their game was just released.

Just a few days after its release, The Blood of Dawnwalker, a vampire horror RPG, had sold over a million copies and received an overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam. Barely a week after its debut, developer Rebel Wolves is already planning its next steps. Unsurprisingly, the next step will be more Dawnwalker. Jakub Szamałek, the narrative director at Rebel Wolves, wrote on LinkedIn that the team isn’t resting on its laurels but is already thinking about where to take the game next:

“Hey writers! Me again. The Blood of Dawnwalker was released to critical acclaim and sold over one million copies in the opening weekend. But we’re not resting on our laurels—no, siree! We’re already thinking about what comes next. So! Drum roll, please! I’m looking for a lead writer to help me and the narrative team craft the next chapter in the Dawnwalker saga. We’re looking for someone who writes exceptionally well and has a track record of excellence and experience in team management,” wrote Szamałek.

The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience as a writer/story designer in the gaming industry, backed by outstanding results. This may seem like a lot for a studio that has only released one game so far, but let’s not forget that Rebel Wolves was founded by veterans of CD Projekt. Szamałek himself was the lead writer for Cyberpunk 2077, Thronebreaker, and the standalone Gwent release. He previously served as a writer on The Witcher 3 and its expansions. In fact, many CD Projekt employees took the time last week to congratulate the studio on the game’s release.

The upcoming Dawnwalker is still several years away. By then, it will likely be a cross-gen title, so it will be available on both the PlayStation 6 and the Xbox Project Helix.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title.
