Sony finally confirmed that a stronger PlayStation 4 is going to launch shortly.
This information was confirmed by none other than Sony Interactive Entertainment president and group CEO Andrew House in his interview with Financial Times. „It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4. We will be selling both [versions] through the life cycle.” No price and release info are known yet, but House confirmed that the price would be above the standard PS4‘s 350$/€ cost. He also stated that the new PlayStation 4 model, which is aimed at hardcore gamers, and people who own 4K TVs, will not be presented to the public at the E3!
„All games will support the standard PS4, and we anticipate all or a very large majority of games will also support the high-end PS4.” – House added.
So the E3 is out of the question. Sony will either reveal the new PS4 at the Gamescom, or at Tokyo Game Show…
