When Will Mortal Kombat XL Launch On PC?

We’re not talking about the beta!

Mortal Kombat XL, as well as Kombat Pack 2 (basically, it’s the second DLC pack, which was console-exclusive up to now), will launch on Steam on October 4. We don’t know yet if Kombat Pack 2 will be available separately, but it should be, unless Warner wants to piss the people who own the game and the first Kombat Pack, forcing them to re-buy the game…

The same day will also see the launch of a patch. NetherRealm will update the PC port to make it in line with the console versions: balancing the characters, improving the net code to make the online gameplay experience better.

Mortal Kombat XL (which is MKX, and the two Kombat Packs) is likely the first step to see NetherRealm consider their next game (Injustice 2) also get a port to PC. So far, the DC Universe characters’ combat is only planned for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, due to release in 2017…
