Steam Picks Up DualShock 4 Support!

In case you enjoy using Sony‘s controller, you will be happy to hear that Valve‘s storefront will implement support for it shortly!

On Steam Dev Days, the announcement came as a bombshell: the Steam Controller options will shortly get an update that will make the DualShock 4 supported as there is an overlap between the two joypads. As Lars Doucet, developer of Defender’s Quest says, „the existing support for the DualShock 4 on PC is a bit weak; Steam‘s new solution communicates directly with the controller, making it nice and reliable.”

The decision makes perfect sense: Sony already launched the PlayStation Now service on PC, and they also released a wireless adapter for the DualShock 4, not to mention the availability of Remote Play on our computers, too. It was just a question of time to see Gabe Newell and co. make a few steps towards the Japanese company. (Perhaps the one million sold Steam Controllers is not enough?)

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
