Two returning characters, plus a new game mode is on the cards for the new Tekken.
The two bears – Kuma and Panda, showing up in Tekken 2 and 3 first, respectively – will return in the 7th numbered Tekken game, and this time, they won’t be a reskin of each other, due to having different Rage Arts moves. Prepare to use them backbreaking bear hugs!
Katsuhiro Harada, the game’s producer also announced that a new game mode called Online Tournament is also coming to Tekken 7. In it, a maximum of eight players can fight to decide who’s the best in a championship knockout. It will have a spectator mode to allow the viewers to chat with each other.
The Unreal Engine 4-using Tekken 7, while touted to be out in early 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, still has no concrete release date… and we’re just weeks away from ending 2016!
