NieR: Automata’s director spoke about a few subjects in toco toco tv’s latest video. He said the following: „People who play my games, I believe that many of them are a bit odd. Those people tend to look outside major ways of playing or entertainment. […] Looking at AAA titles, of course, I find them beautiful and interesting, but after 20 minutes of gameplay, I wonder whether it is going to be the same for the following 20 hours. I am a bit tired of this. If possible, I would like to make games that are unexpected, games that keep changing form. This was the mindset I had when I created the first Nier game, and it is present in Nier: Automata as well.”
This weird guy has a point: PlatinumGames’ action-RPG is now over one million sales according to the publisher, Square Enix.
The reviews are good, the sales are good, so Yoko Taro, you can get fed up with AAA games as much as you want if you keep making quality titles such as NieR: Automata!
Thank you so…….so much. I can’t describe by my poor English. But thank you. (;_;) pic.twitter.com/L1XXuawXN2
