Hazelight‘s boss doesn’t have a good opinion of Sony’s console.
Josef Fares, who is currently working on A Way Out, said the following in his interview with Engadget: „You want the honest truth? This machine is not so strong as you think. This is like a five-year-old PC. If consoles were as powerful as PCs are today, you would see all different games. Most of the work developers put out there is to make them work on consoles.”
On paper, he has a point, though: the PlayStation 4 was announced in early 2013, and since then, its specifications (we’re not talking about the Slim and the Pro changes!) have not changed – still, A Way Out, which is going to be a cooperative, split screen-only game (online, offline as well), is a hopeful title, due to launch in early 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
…isn’t the Xbox One a five-year-old PC?
