Anthem: Has It Been In Development Since 2014?

Anthem‘s similarity to Destiny might not be coincidental.

Last time we wrote about BioWare, we discussed how Aaryn Flynn would be replaced by Casey Hudson (a returnee) in the general manager position. However, there is one sentence in Hudson’s blog post, which sounds quite suspicious. Allow us to quote it:

„I’d also like to wish my good friend Aaryn Flynn the very best in the future. Aaryn and I have worked together from the earliest days of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, to set the foundation for Anthem.” Flynn took the post in 2014, which means BioWare could have worked on the game by then. When did Destiny launch? In the autumn of 2014. What a sheer coincidence…

Anthem was revealed by BioWare at E3, and it will launch in the autumn of 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will be the beginning of a ten-year journey, apparently…
