Japanese release confirmed… with an English trailer? Something’s not right.
So, the situation here is that Bandai Namco has announced a new Full Metal Panic! game, which is going to be available on the PlayStation 4 only. The game translated to English would be called Full Metal Panic!: Who Dares Wins, and it’s developed by B. B. Studio, an internal Bandai Namco team, responsible for the Super Robot Wars series. Therefore, seeing it as a turn-based strategy RPG isn’t that surprising.
We wouldn’t talk much about the game, if at all if it had a Japanese announcement trailer. However, for some odd reason, it has only Japanese subtitles with English voice acting, potentially either hinting at an English Asian release… or a Western launch altogether. Full Metal Panic! started out as a novel in 1998, which then evolved into several mangas and anime series.
Bandai Namco is suspicious. The game is out in Japan in 2018, but they might announce a localization for the West this year, as well as an Xbox One port, as there’s virtually no interest for the Xbox One in Japan altogether…
