Cygames Would Work On A New Zone Of The Enders Game

Cygames‘ interview with Dengeki Online revealed that the team, who worked on Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner – MARS (the PS2 original’s remastered version) with Konami would also like to create a new entry in the series.

Cygames project manager Kenichi Kondo, Cygames game engineer Akira Horibata, and Konami general producer Noriaki Okamura answered some questions about Zone of the Enders’ possibilities, and Kondo said that Cygames would love to make a new game in the series, and Okamura personally would support the team in it. Kondo would only focus on virtual reality in Zone of the Enders 3 if it „didn’t cause restraints to high-speed combat.” Horibata adds that the new game would have to „go beyond expectations,” but Okamura thinks that ZotE 2’s remastered version „pushes the limit of current generation systems” (namely the PlayStation 4 Pro) with its 4K resolution and VR-support.

The developers, who helped with Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner – MARS (which launched just the other day!) would work on a new game. The ball is now in Konami‘s court…
