After Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux, Metro Exodus is next…
However, there’s a twist. Regarding the first two games of the franchise, we wrote that it got a ton of negative reviews on Steam after Metro Exodus was pushed by Deep Silver (Koch Media) to Epic Games Store for a year of exclusivity. If we look at the Steam page of Metro Exodus, you might be surprised: it got a ton of POSITIVE reviews (85%!)! Over 2500 reviews, even though it’s not going to be available on this platform until February 2020.
The added flavour here is that amongst the reviews, we see a lot that sneakily disses Steam (who takes 30% of the sale’s money while Epic takes only 12%): „Fantastic game so far, but you guys made a bad choice of putting it on the Epic [Games] Store.” (They don’t have a review system at the moment!) „Amazing game ♥♥♥♥ed by ♥♥♥♥♥♥ business decision.” And one more: „I truly hope the Epic Games Store fails.” There are also middle fingers there with Epic Games Store written into them…
The situation is interesting. Valve has likely taken note by now…
