Apex Legends Is Already Getting A Scholarship!

Respawn‘s battle royale game didn’t even need one and a half months to get this solid achievement.

The Becker College in Massachusetts (United States) announced a scholarship program that can be reached via a related eSports event – the top Apex Legends players there could receive five thousand dollars for schooling.

Becker teamed up with Team Genji and Helix Esports for this plot – Helix will hold an amateur Apex Legends tournament in New Jersey, and Team Genji will perform analytics there. The best players – if they apply and get admitted to the Becker College – will get the money, and in the Autumn, they could even be part of Becker’s own Apex Legends team. You can find more details here. This is a solid idea, and it’s surprising to see a somewhat new game immediately reach a scholarship…

So, Electronic Arts might be pulling in the money that they probably lost via Anthem (as we don’t think BioWare’s game can reach the sales expectations…).
