A few American football players had the chance to check out the 2019 instalment of the Call of Duty franchise: Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4…
Four players have posted on Instagram about how they were chosen to check out the 2019 Call of Duty game, which is developed by Infinity Ward. They are Riley Ridley, Christian Miller, Jacques Patrick (), and Tajaé Sharpe (). Of course, none of them has gone into details, but there’s a slowed down video on PC Gamer () that was recorded at the event. We hear two words in it – namely Killstreak, and Modern Warfare 4.
Of course, Activision Blizzard has not announced anything yet, but they usually tend to properly name the current year’s Call of Duty title towards the end of Spring, usually getting a serious stream as well. Then, the game shows up at the E3 as well. The reveal hasn’t happened yet, but since we’re about to turn towards May, we might prepare for the event.
Infinity Ward released a Modern Warfare title for the Call of Duty franchise in 2011. They followed up with Ghosts and Infinite Warfare in 2013 and 2016, respectively. We have heard a few times that the team is going back to the roots that made the Call of Duty franchise highly mainstream in 2007. (And the publisher has also confirmed that there will be a singleplayer campaign in the 2019 CoD title – think about it!)
Still, it is a weird publicity stunt from Activision to promote Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 in such a way, but since we’re not American, maybe it’s just us. The 2019 Call of Duty should be out this fall – November could be likely, but last year, we saw Treyarch’s Black Ops IIII, which dropped the singleplayer story for a battle royale mode (called Blackout), come out in September…
