Werewolf: The Apocalypse, which is set in the same world as Vampire: The Masquerade (the setting is called the World of Darkness), will be out at the Los Angeles event!
The game’s announcement has been a long time ago… as it happened in 2017 when Focus Home Interactive said that Cyanide (who recently released the not-so-good Call of Cthulhu, and previously, they worked on the Styx games) is developing a game adaptation based on the World of Darkness. The tabletop RPG to the game is the second in line (after Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, which is getting a sequel next year).
Since then, a few things have changed, making the game’s development close to being a South American soap opera’s plot. For example, the publisher is no longer Focus Home Interactive but Bigben, and the game also received a subtitle, which is why it’s currently called Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood.
This game, which hasn’t shown itself that much since the announcement, will be out at E3, so if you plan to participate in the event, you might see this action-RPG in action. In it, an exiled werewolf called Cahal is returning to help its clan. We’ll have to control our rage so we might have to hold ourselves back not to fail the missions, which will be set in the American Northwest. (Interestingly, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodline 2 is also set there in Seattle… huh.)
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, which will use the Unreal Engine 4, will launch sometime in 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As we’ll be able to shapeshift into either a wolf or a human, we’re curious to see how Cyanide‘s game will perform.
