TY: The Tasmanian Tiger Is Getting At Least One Console Port [VIDEO]

One down, two more to go.

TY: The Tasmanian Tiger has a Kickstarter campaign that you can find here. Initially, Krome Studios‘ goal was to have the game, which launched in a remastered format on Steam surface on the Nintendo Switch. Its 50K dollar goal was already hit, and the campaign is nearly at 100K with its funding. However, there is still a long way to hit the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports’ 150K stretch goal – however, the funding remains active for little less than two more weeks from now.

TY The Tasmanian Tiger was developed by the Australian Krome Studios in 2002. Electronic Arts published the platformer on PlayStation 2, Xbox One, and Nintendo GameCube. Its first sequel launched in 2004 (Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue – Game Boy Advance, GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, the Steam version was released in late 2017), followed by the third game in 2005 (Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan – the platforms are still Game Boy Advance, GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, the publisher was Activision instead of Electronic Arts; the Steam version launched in December 2018), and the fourth instalment, which was a 2D platformer (similar to the Game Boy Advance titles) unlike the other games (3D platformer), hit Steam in September 2015. So, we can talk about an old series that the developers stuck by for a long time, which is respectable.

So if Krome Studios gets enough funding, we can experience the Australian platformer adventures not only the best-selling Nintendo Switch but also the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. More platformers are also welcome, but we’d like to see a new game in the series (and the same goes for Crash Bandicoot).
