NieR Replicant announcement and the first video for PS4, Xbox One and PC [VIDEO]

Square Enix, with this NieR Replicant announcement, commemorates the tenth anniversary of this PS3 and Xbox 360 video game.

It was a dream for a while that the now-classic Nier Replicant would come to life with an adaptation to current platforms and it will be so. Square Enix has announced that as part of the events intended to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Nier, Xbox One, PS4 and Steam will receive a remastering of the first title in the saga now known as the huge name of NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139….

Although not many details of the Yoko Taro classic are known at the moment, a first video preview of this NieR Replicant announcement has been presented, thus allowing us to see its new graphic section. From Square Enix, which have teamed up with the Japanese studio Toy Logic, also confirm that the great soundtrack of the original PS3 and Xbox 360 will be reorchestrated to the delight of fans.

While the game we had access to was starring an adult character, this remastering is based on the NieR: Replicant that premiered exclusively in Japan (the Western version was Gestalt), and therefore the hero is a younger character. So, in this action-role adventure, we will have to find the cure for the disease that is killing our younger sister (instead of being the daughter of the protagonist, as in the original game). It remains to be seen if the video game expands with new endings or more additional content.

The release date has not been specified either, but it is expected that NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 … will go on sale throughout this year 2020. Interestingly, at the end of 2019, the registration of the NieR brand in Japan was made public, which that already invited to wait for remastering or remake of this classic from the last generation of consoles. It also comes after the great success of the fantastic NieR: Automata, which practically a year ago celebrated the more than four million games sold worldwide.
