Gran Turismo 7 might not be the only game that will slide out to 2022.
In the big PlayStation overview, we already mentioned that Gran Turismo 7 will both figuratively and roll into (or onto?) the players’ PlayStation 5s (as it’s a racing game) in 2022 and not 2021, due to the coronavirus global pandemic. However, Anton Logvinov replied on Twitter to a comment that lists the titles launching in 2022 (Overwatch 2, Gran Turismo 7, Hogwarts Legacy – which was also pushed to 2022 and we discussed it in the news -, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 – a game that got pushed back indefinitely -, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen expansion), and he used the Russian word for „horizon” in his reply.
He openly hinted at the sequel of Horizon Zero Dawn (about which he was correct that it is getting a PC port before it was confirmed), Horizon Forbidden West. Unfortunately, we don’t know further details at the moment but prepare for Guerrilla Games to say that they will require more time, seeing the delays. Maybe they should follow the example of God of War: Ragnarok (Cory Barlog openly claimed the game will launch when it’s done).
Currently, Horizon Forbidden West, where Aloy is heading to new regions and a new console generation (as it launches on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4), is slated for a late 2021 release, but we have also yet to see what the PlayStation 4 version will be, as this is one of the titles that were designed for the PS5 from the ground-up.
Nothing is official yet, but better prepare for Sony Interactive Entertainment to suddenly announce a delay for the game, as game development is also having a bad run due to COVID-19 throughout the world.
