In LEAP, you can engage in battles with up to 60 players, with different character classes, exploring other mechanics.
Blue Isle Studios has carved out a niche for itself in the industry with games like the awesome Slender: The Arrival and the MMORPG Citadel: Forged With Fire. Now the developer is moving into the shooter space with a new offering: an online FPS title called LEAP. And to showcase the frantic action, it has released a trailer with no shortage of spectacular moments.
As you can see in the video, LEAP will use the shooter mechanic to develop its game. Weapons will have to be handled with skill, as we’ll be able to engage in battles with up to 60 players, where a single mistake can open up opportunities for the enemy. You’ll be able to do this with a team of your choice: the United Earth Defence Coalition (UEDC) or Exo-Terrans.
But that’s not the end of the choices for players, who will also have to choose one of the four classes offered in the game. This will allow you to participate in combat with unique abilities such as remote missile control and tower building. All of these ideas will be available to try out soon, as LEAP launches its closed beta on 19 January, which you can sign up for now.
Blue Isle Studios has plans beyond the closed beta, as they assure us that LEAP will soon be available in Early Access on Steam. As for the final release, no further details have been revealed yet, so we’ll have to wait for news from the developers.
