Sony and Microsoft digital stores have confirmed the news, and a pre-purchase bonus is available for Shadow Warrior 3.

After some delays and patient waiting, Devolver Digital’s upcoming Shadow Warrior 3 has finally received an official release date. March 1 is the date to enter the brutal and bloody world of the game, and the pre-purchase offer is perfect for all newcomers to the universe.

Pre-order the game, and you’ll get a skin for your katana

Confirmation of the date comes courtesy of PlayStation and Xbox digital stores, which have also revealed some rewards for pre-ordering the game. According to the official description, the pre-purchase bundle will also get you Shadow Warrior 1, Shadow Warrior 2 and a limited edition skin for your katana.

It’s worth noting that Steam hasn’t released the same information as Sony and Microsoft’s store, so we still can’t rule out that the title will arrive on PC on a different day or that it won’t offer the same pre-purchase rewards.

For those who may not have heard, the game is an FPS in which you take on the role of Lo Wang, who is tasked with taking on a dragon he has freed from his prison. To do this, we will travel to different locations around the world, and we will be accompanied by blood, surreal weapons and lots of action.

As well as a plethora of weapons, Shadow Warrior 3 features a wide variety of enemies that you’ll have to (literally) take apart if you want to progress through the story, which Devolver Digital says will take roughly 8 hours to complete.
