MOVIE NEWS – Brendan Fraser said in an interview that he would be ready for another Mummy movie. He expressed that he wouldn’t mind reprising his role as Rick O’Connell in another Mummy movie.
In a recent interview with Deadline Actor’s Side, The Whale star talked about the success of his upcoming film and the standing ovation he received at the Venice Film Festival, saying the reception was overwhelming. The actor also touched on Martin Scorsese’s next film, Killers of the Flower Moon, in which he also stars alongside Leonardo Dicaprio and Robert De Niro. “It was rewarding to work with a master filmmaker,” he said.
Brendan Fraser is also known for his roles in The Mummy in 1999 and its two sequels, The Mummy Returns and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. When asked if he would be willing to do another potential Mummy movie in the future, citing rumors of his return, Fraser wasn’t against the idea, but didn’t confirm anything.
“Anyway, I don’t know any juicy details about that, but you know, it’s been an open question for a while,” he said. “I’m not against it. Hey, I don’t know an actor who doesn’t want work, I don’t think I’ve ever been so famous and paid at the same time in my professional life.
“Sign me up!” – he adds jokingly.
