James Sunderland, the protagonist of Silent Hill 2, is now available as an impressive collectible figure. The statue made by Gecco is 1/6 scale and includes a lot of details and accessories.
Body: Silent Hill 2 is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed horror games that was released in 2001 for PlayStation 2. The game’s story revolves around James Sunderland, who visits the eerie town of Silent Hill after receiving a mysterious letter. During the game, James encounters many nightmarish creatures and puzzles as he tries to find out the truth about his wife’s death.
Gecco, the company that previously made the iconic Pyramid Head figure from the game, has now revealed James Sunderland’s statue. The figure is 1/6 scale, which means it is about 12 inches tall. The figure reproduces James’ worn-out military jacket, pocket flashlight and facial expression very accurately. The base of the figure also features some used health items.

The figure comes with several weapons that James can use in the game, such as a wooden plank, a handgun, a steel pipe, a shotgun and Pyramid Head’s Great Knife. A Maria figure is also planned to go along with James’ figure, which can be displayed next to him to recreate their first meeting their first meeting at Rosewater Park. Maria is a mysterious woman who resembles James’ deceased wife, and who accompanies him throughout his journey in Silent Hill. She has a different personality and appearance from Mary, but James feels drawn to her nonetheless.
The James Sunderland figure costs 42,000 yen (about $316) and will be released between August and November 2023. The figure can be pre-ordered from the Gecco and Sweet Factory online stores. The Silent Hill 2 remake is in development for PS5 and PC.
