The popular battle royale game will soon feature new characters from the Star Wars universe, including a mysterious Jedi and an evil boss.
Fortnite is no stranger to collaborating with different franchises, as it has already hosted numerous characters from movies, series and video games. Star Wars fans have not been left out of the fun, as they have been able to wear iconic characters such as Kylo Ren, Rey or Boba Fett. Now it seems that the Star Wars universe will send new representatives to Fortnite.
According to a reliable source, two new Star Wars characters will arrive in the game on May 4th, which is Star Wars Day. The identities of the characters have not been fully revealed yet, but a shadowy image allows some speculation. One of the characters looks like a Jedi, whose lightsaber resembles Cal Kestis’ lightsaber, the protagonist of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The other character could be an evil boss, whose uniform reminds of Moff Gideon’s or Grand Admiral Thrawn’s, who both play important roles in The Mandalorian series.
The appearance of the characters could be related to Disney+’s new Star Wars series as well, one of which is Obi-Wan Kenobi, which premieres on May 27th with two episodes. The other series will be The Bad Batch, which will focus on the elite and experimental clone troopers.
Fortnite players should pay attention on May 4th to find out who the new Star Wars characters are and how much they will cost in the shop. In the meantime, they can enjoy the game’s 20.30 update, which brought new locations and weapons to the game.
