HBO Max Has Gone, But Not All Is Lost! [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – The new service of Max has started in Hungary, which also means the end of the former HBO Max.

 

 

As of May 21, HBO Max will cease to exist. From now on, it will simply be Max. The price and selection of one of the most popular platforms on the domestic market are also changing. We’ve gathered everything you need to know about it below.

As we previously reported, Warner Bros. Discovery recently announced that its enhanced streaming service Max.

According to the company’s statement, Max combines the content of HBO Max, the non-fiction programs of Discovery and the premium service of Eurosport. Max will be the only platform where every moment of the 2024 Paris Olympics can be seen live.

The company has now emailed users to let them know what to expect from Tuesday. As written, the Max billing and sign-in details remain the same as those of HBO Max. Viewers are automatically redirected to max.com from hbomax.com.

Profiles, your own list and previously viewed content, are also transferred to Max. This allows the user to continue streaming where they left off. The service starts its operation in Hungary with some new hit films. The domestic premiere of Dune: Part Two, for example, was scheduled for May 21. (See trailer below.)

The service starts with the two basic Max packages and the optional Sport add-on for any package. They noted that all HBO Max subscribers are automatically eligible for Max.

 

What does the successor to HBO Max offer?

 

Basic package:

Price: HUF 2,790/month or HUF 27,900/year.

  • Users can stream content on two devices simultaneously.
  • The contents will be available in Full HD resolution.
  • This package will have a maximum of 30 downloads for offline viewing.

 

Premium package:

Price: HUF 3,890/month or HUF 38,900/year

  • Users can stream content on up to four devices simultaneously.
  • The contents will be available in Full HD or 4K resolution and, where available, with Dolby Atmos sound.
  • This package allows a maximum of 100 downloads for offline viewing.

 

A sports supplement can be added to any of these:

Price: HUF 1,200 per month

  • Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 programs can be streamed.
  • Among other things, live cycling and tennis broadcasts.

 

Max will be available on mobile phones, tablets, computers, televisions, streaming players, set-top boxes and game consoles.
