One is an open-world dress-up adventure game that will soon begin beta testing on PlayStation 5, and the other is a free-to-play dark fantasy action-RPG, both published by Infold Games.

The first game, Infinity Nikki, is the fifth installment in the popular Nikki series developed by Infold Games. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, this multi-platform, open-world dress-up adventure seamlessly blends the series’ core dress-up mechanics with open-world exploration elements. It also features platforming, puzzle-solving, and many other gameplay elements to create a unique and rich experience. In this game, Nikki and Momo embark on a new adventure to travel through the fantastic nations of Miraland, each with its own unique culture and environment. Players will encounter many characters and whimsical creatures as they collect stunning outfits in a variety of styles. Some of these outfits possess magical abilities that are crucial to exploration.

By harnessing the power of Whim hidden within the outfits, Nikki has the tools to overcome difficult trials. Her courage and determination know no bounds. The Floating Outfit allows Nikki to float gracefully, the Gliding Outfit summons a giant flower for high-altitude flights, and the Shrinking Outfit lets her sit on Momo’s head as he navigates through tight spaces. These Ability Outfits open up a world of adventure and endless fun! In this vast, fantastical world, master techniques such as gliding, running, and diving to freely explore the land and solve cleverly designed puzzles and levels. The joy of 3D platforming is woven throughout the game’s open-world exploration. Each unique landscape is vibrant and charming. Soaring paper cranes, speeding wine cellar mine cars, mysterious ghost trains – new puzzles await!

Miraland is also a fantastic place for you to relax and appreciate life. With sunrises, sunsets and ever-changing weather, the creatures of Miraland have their own lives. Keep track of their daily routines and try to find them! Wear outfits with special abilities to fish in the river or catch bugs with a net. The game features an in-depth collection system where the items Nikki collects become great clothing materials. Stroll through flowery fields and meadows, hike along mountain streams, and meet merchants who sell special outfits. Get inspired by the paper cranes on the streets. Use Momo’s camera to dress Nikki in your favorite outfits. You can choose the perfect backgrounds and frames to take pictures of her and capture every heartwarming moment of your journey anytime, anywhere.

The other title, Ballad of Antara, is an upcoming multi-platform dark fantasy ARPG from Infold Games, developed by TipsWorks Studio. Embark on a perilous journey in search of towering divine creatures to reclaim the twisted and lost essences of the world. From a distant past, the arrows of time have gone awry, and the seeds of everything in between have ceased to bloom. The familiar “essences,” taken away by a sudden cloud of mist, are veiled beneath the unknown side of the world. Travel the Para in search of towering, divine creatures. Retrieve the twisted and lost “essences” of the land and turn them into powers against the Grey Mist.

Infinity Nikki will be available for PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, Android, and possibly PlayStation 4 (the State of Play announcement didn’t mention it). The PS5 beta test will start in Q3, between July and September. Ballad of Antara’s target platforms other than PlayStation 5 are unknown; the free-to-play game will be released in 2025.
