Dying Light 2: Stay Human: Techland Added a New Co-Op Experience [VIDEO]

The VNC Tower mission featured in the story inspired the Polish developers to add a new gameplay mode, currently in beta, to Dying Light 2: Stay Human with Update 1.17.

The new mode, called Tower Raid, is currently in open beta and offers a new cooperative experience for the first-person action-adventure zombie killer. The mission is simple: get to the top of the tower and grab the rare loot. Each time you’ll get a different combination of obstacles and objectives, with different modifiers for each round. These can have positive or negative effects and can affect not only us, but our opponents as well.

You can access Tower Raid from Jai’s board. This is unlocked by completing the Lost Armory sidequest, which will automatically unlock when you reach the Central Loop. When you start the Tower Raid, the game will teleport you (and others if you’re playing co-op) to the lobby of the tower. From there, it’s up to you to decide how to defeat your opponents and whether to search the floors for loot. Successful completion will earn you Jai’s reputation points and tokens (which can be spent with him), and at the top of the tower in the Airdrop will be a large loot package and an exotic weapon. Each time you complete the Tower Raid for the first time this week, you will receive additional reputation points and tokens.

The Tower Raid Open Beta will run until July 18th. Next week, Techland will launch a new difficulty level (Elite), which will provide harder opponents and activate the Tactical Stack, but players will also receive better rewards. Three new floors, ten new modifiers and four new rewards will also be added with the update. Seven more modifiers and three new rewards will be added in the final week, and players will be able to earn twice as many reputation points for completing the mode.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human Reloaded Edition is currently available at a 60% discount, and the second DLC will be released later this year.
