Nacon (which is developing the game in-house at its Milan studio) has announced that it will not be able to meet the previously planned Early Access release date.

Terminator: Survivors will be released on Early Access on PC first, with a full release on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series following completion. However, the early access launch will not be on October 24th, but at least two and a half months later. Marco Ponte, CEO and creative director of Nacon’s Milan studio, explained the delay as follows:

“Delaying the game’s release was a difficult decision to make, but we believe that this additional time will allow us to ensure that our vision of the post-apocalyptic world of Terminator meets the expected level of quality. On behalf of the team at Nacon Studio Milan, I would like to thank all players and fans of the franchise for their enthusiastic reception of Terminator: Survivors. We are extremely proud to have the opportunity to work on such an iconic franchise as Terminator and we look forward to sharing more with you. Thank you all for your support. We’ll be back,” said Ponte.

So the new Terminator won’t be available in early access on Steam until sometime in 2025, and that’s probably pushed the release of the console versions back in the calendar. With this delay, Nacon has acknowledged that the game is not yet in a good enough state to launch on Valve’s platform, giving the developers a little more time to fix the open-world survival game that even offers co-op options.

So early access for Terminator: Survivors Steam isn’t so sure to happen in early 2025, as they could delay this version for up to a year, which isn’t very optimistic. But who knows, maybe they can prove us wrong. However, if the early release is indeed a year away, the console version will definitely not be released before 2026.
