An entire universe that the fandom was worried about since Disney took over the reins from Lucasarts. We don’t know if we’ll get background Ewok dancers, or that Chewbacca will sing in the movie. The movie as the videogame adaptation has been under the work of new hands. Battlefront was sent from Pandemic Studios to Dice without a hitch, just so that it can land in our hands this

The reboot wave has reached a new level, aka Star Wars: Battlefront. This shouldn’t worry people, as although the previous games were great in their own time, Pandemic unfortunately closed down four years after releasing Battlefront II in 2009. The IP left the sinking ship and through EA landed in DICE so that it can begin anew. The 2015 Battlefront is not a sequel, but a remake, and re-envisioning of the franchise

Better, bigger, more detailed

For a restart, it is not enough to give us the same old thing that worked ten years ago. The same can be said about the graphics and atmosphere. So the developers at DICE started a large research effort in order to breath more life into the game.

This is how they got to the Star Wars museum in San Francisco where after a few days they familiarized themselves with vehicles, clothing, creatures, equipment and weapons. Later they got on a plane and visited real shooting locations of the movie so that the battlefield are recreated not just from pictures, but from experience. They visited Tunesia (Tatooine), Thailand (Kashyyk), then Norway (Hoth).

Do or not, but not try.

Currently all we have is pretty pictures from the game, but it seems the traveling around was not in vain. The environment feels and looks to be alive. One thing that I do not understand is that why the TPS mode had to be cut (Regardless of Battlefield or Mirror’s edge experience).

Unfortunately this a small price for the reboot, and hopefully they’ll let us switch between views. Other than all the above info there’s not much else. The player count on a map, special characters, and a lot of other question are unanswered. Regardless we can’t wait to see what this new game will have in store for us at the end of the year
